Texans fan who died from escalator fall was intoxicated

HOUSTON, TX – You probably already knew, but we’re going to tell you about it now because it’s official.

Remember the fan that fell to his death at the Reliant Stadium during the Houston Texans’ preseason game? The Harris County Medical Examiner’s office released its report and the results show that 25-year-old Jonathan Kelly was drunk when he fell 60 feet from an escalator. His blood alcohol level was .16. Officials have ruled his death an accident.
