KAY COUNTY, OK – Drop the band ‘Kansas’ in Kay County Oklahoma and you’ve got all the makings for the perfect music video. High winds, prolonged drought and dry soil left everyone driving on I-35 near Blackwell, Oklahoma straining to see during a massive wind storm.

Drivers sitting in the pileup might as well have closed their eyes; because at its height the storm brought visibility down to near zero. After 27 drivers were involved in over a dozen accidents, with several injuries, they closed the interstate.

However, as all-weather does, the storm subsided, the interstate was reopened Friday and now, folks in the sooner state are singing a different tune!
