Israel doesn’t want to play around. Israeli soldiers stormed a ship that was getting too close for comfort, about 30 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza.
The ship named “Estelle,” bound for Gaza, tried to break through a sea blockade.
Why? The passengers of the boat claim they were trying to call attention to the blockade of Palestinian territory, which has been under Israeli blockade for the past five years.
But Israel wasn’t playing around. Their military boarded the ship, steered it to the port of Ashdod, and took the passengers into custody.
It gets better. A spokesperson for the Estelle accused the Israeli military of piracy since Israel boarded their ship in international waters.
Come on, guys. Play nice.
