COLLEGE PARK, GA – The world changers church congregation in Georgia is trying to make sense of a tragedy.
Disaster struck the church of nearly 30,000 members, when Fulton County police 52-year-old Floyd Palmer walked calmly into the church and shot a volunteer in the head, point blank, killing him. The victim was leading a bible study group of about 25 people. Police say Palmer used to work for the church, but quit back in August so he likely knew his victim.
The small suburb of Atlanta is full of questions, including where is Floyd Palmer?
Dressed in nice clothes, witnesses said he calmly walked out of the church after the shooting and left in a black Subaru station wagon.
