NEW YORK – As a battered Northeast dries out after getting dumped on by Hurricane Sandy, an extreme-right Christian preacher is weighing in on the cause of the deadly storm, and it’s got nothing to do with weather patterns. This supposed Man of God is blaming the gays!

The founder of website “Defend and Proclaim the Faith Ministries” pastor John McTernan is pointing the finger at the gay and lesbian communities for enraging the Lord, causing the Almighty, so he says, to unleash his fury on mankind with natural disasters.

And with the presidential elections just days away, McTernan claims that God is also angry with the run to the White House, writing: “both candidates are pro-homosexual and are behind the homosexual agenda.”

Ironically, in a story that contains both politics and gays, the real blowhard is John McTernan.
