NEW YORK, NY – It’s the end of the work week, but the work isn’t going to stop.

Sandy’s death toll now stands at about 100 people in the U.S.  Some 4.5 million homes and businesses are still without power.  And in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, drivers are dealing with a shortage of gasoline.

People are making noise over it all, but some are also fired up over someone who didn’t make a sound.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s sign language interpreter, with her dramatic facial expressions and body language turned her into a so-called “legitimate reason to smile” during the whole ordeal.  Needless to say, a lot of social media fans were pretty disappointed when Lydia Callis ended up getting replaced.  There’s no word on exactly why.

Anyway, the main focus here, for the moment, seems to be Staten Island.
