BEIJING, CHINA – Politics can be a rough and tumble affair as politicians literally fight for their right to party.

In China, those wild and crazy Communist Party animals are serious about keeping the ‘red’ in Red China, and keeping ‘out’ any voices of dissent.

Even though the party wants its country to speak with one voice, a Chinese court pretty much put tape over the mouth of anyone crashing the party, when it sentenced a 28-year-old owner of an Internet cafe to eight years in prison.

His crime? Starting an opposition party.

That lasted one day. Online.

He called it the China Republican Party.

Whatever happens in this country after November 6, let’s hope the irony of this isn’t lost in translation.
