Poor posture leads to depression
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – So, Bunkie, you say life has got you singing the blues?
Well, there may be more to your hanged-dog feeling than a bad relationship.
Erik Peper, a researcher at San Francisco State University and his crack research team figured out that slouching can lead to lower energy and feelings of depression, and that you can increase your energy and mood levels by changing your posture.
Previous research found that getting up and moving around increased energy and happiness, but this new study says sitting or standing in a more upright position can also help.
Of course, you may not want to overdo it at the office.
