Canadian bar creates artisan cocktails served with human toes
DAWSON CITY, CANADA – What`s your drink of choice? Vodka, whiskey, gin, wine, beer?
How about a Sourtoe cocktail?
Never heard of it? Well, there`s only one place to get it, Dawson City, in the Yukon Territory of Canada.
So what kind of drink is it?
Get ready to throw up….it`s a drink garnished with not an olive, not an onion, but a preserved human toe. Served at the Sourdough Saloon, the drink was born in 1973, by Captain Dick Stevenson. Captain Dick found a severed big toe preserved in a pickle jar and instead of tossing the toe out he came up with the rules of the Sourtoe.
Take a beer glass full of champagne, drop in the toe, tip the glass back and the toe must touch the lips.
That`s one way to get ‘athletes lips.’
