Unless you were in Australia, you didn’t see the eclipse

NORTHERN AUSTRALIA – There was a total eclipse Tuesday afternoon. But chances of actually seeing it here in Houston were close to none. That is, unless you had time to travel to northern Australia, or out to the middle of the ocean somewhere. But seriously, who has time for that?!

But thanks to the internet, it was broadcast live for everyone to see.

Solar eclipses occur when the moon passes between the sun and Earth, and the moon fully or partially blocks the sun. Pretty cool!

But don’t take your eyes off the sky just yet. The annual Leonids Meteor shower is happening Saturday, November 17. So mark your calendars!
