There’s going to be a whole lot of new angels flapping their wings this holiday season as the Salvation Army kicks off its Annual Red Kettle Campaign.

For more than a century, volunteers have stood out in the cold, ringing bells to collect donations for those in need.

There are more than 250 kettles set up at stores around Houston.

So while you’re out and about, remember those red kettles and do what you can to help the less fortunate this Christmas.
