Shoppers preferred mobile purchases on Cyber Monday

USA – Recession? What recession? The way Americans were clicking and spending on Cyber Monday seems to show that shoppers have no problem dolling out big bucks for super cyber deals.

Online shoppers spent 30% more this year on those unbelievable online deals than they did in 2011. Their preferred medium? Smartphones and tablets.

More than 18% of shoppers used their phones or tablets to access those online deals and steals; accounting for 13% of the total Cyber Monday sales this year, according to IBM. Even more proof that Americans prefer little to no human interaction while holiday shopping.

Cyber Monday sales were 36% higher than Black Friday sales.
