MANHATTAN, NY – It kind of goes without saying, but the captain responsible for the Manhattan wreck is having a ‘ferry, ferry’ bad day.

The Seastreak Wall Street Ferry, that was hauling folks from New Jersey to Manhattan, made a hard landing into Pier 11. Like, literally, into Pier 11, leaving at least 50 people hurt, two critically.

A passenger says, “…the boat usually it slows down a little bit and people get up to get off the boat and that was what the problem was. When we hit the dock, everybody went flying. So, that’s why we had, there was so many injuries.”

More New Yorkers were hurt when a crane collapsed in Long Island City, Queens.

Workers say the crane was lifting some heavy material when they heard it buckle. Seven people were hurt.

Geez! A day like this in New York; maybe it would have been safer if everyone just stayed in bed.
