There’s nothing cuter than puppies and babies. Not to mention a ratings boost. Rick Scott, the governor of Florida, took advantage of that and rescued a Labrador retriever during the 2010 GOP campaign.

Boy did he pimp out that puppy. Posting photos on Facebook and asking constituents to help name the newest member of his family.

They decided on Reagan, after the 40th president of the U.S.

Scott was routinely congratulated for adopting a rescue and not buying a purebred, such as President Obama’s dog, Bo, a Portuguese water dog.
However, reporters from the Tampa Bay Times noticed that Reagan had not been seen since Scott’s 2011 inauguration.

What happened to that puppy in the window? Well after some digging turns out that Scott gave the dog back!

A campaign spokesperson says, “Scott said Reagan never bit anyone but “scared the living daylights” out of people at the mansion. He said one kitchen employee threatened to quit and photographer Eric Tournay was frightened when the dog “barked like crazy” every time he saw him with a camera.”

Seriously way to kick the dog to the curb. Use him and abuse him. It’s not an accessory! But I guess they do the same thing with wives. Honestly, you’re in the dog house Scott and I think Regan is much better off. Good luck fetching votes in the future.
