HOUSTON – Tyler Tezeno is proof that hard work can make a star. The Klein Collins senior is our class act of the week.
He’s the only offensive lineman to be nominated for Offensive Player of the year by the Touchdown Club of Houston.
“If you’d have seen me as a freshman that I would be going D1 for football. I was really under sized, didn’t have all the tools I needed. So, I just worked every day, never missed a summer camp and every day at practice, I just got after hit until I got to where I am today.” Tezeno said.
Tyler’s hard work not only comes in the weight room or on the gridiron. He wrestled for three years and he’s also a member of the track team. He hits the books just as hard sporting a 4.2 GPA.
Tyler is already committed to the big 12 and the Mountaineers on a full ride scholarship even though he had offers from LSU, Boise State and Arizona State.
He’s making all of his dreams come true so far but he still has higher aspirations like making the NFL.
“That’s like a dream come true. I’m always going to keep my feet on the ground and never expect anything to be given to me. I know I have to work for it”, said Tyler
