HOUSTON – It’s probably not a good idea to try and cross four lanes of traffic at 3:30 in the morning.

One man in Northwest Houston learned that lesson the hard way.

The driver of this BMW tells police he didn’t see the man until he walked out in front of his car, but by then it was too late.

The pedestrian was hit, and died later at the hospital.

Oh, and while the officers were on the scene, another car didn’t see a police car blocking traffic.

Both drivers involved were tested for alcohol.

Hopefully this eye opening experience is one that won’t be repeated anytime soon.
