Egyptians take to the streets again
CAIRO, EGYPT – Tahrir Square in Cairo, Egypt, was where the so-called Arab Spring dawned two years ago, resulting in the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak.
To celebrate the second anniversary, thousands of Egyptians hit the streets to do what you`re supposed to do when you celebrate your freedom. You riot, you throw rocks, and you set things on fire.
The crowds in Cairo want to get rid of new president Mohammed Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood pals. And some of them think President Obama is a jerk and an idiot for supporting the current regime.
Are we sure this isn’t a tea party rally?
All kidding aside, the anniversary mayhem has injured about one hundred people around the country.
And it doesn’t look like the fires kindled by the Arab Spring will be extinguished any time soon.
