She’s the little girl with a big story, and her next chapter is about to be written.

15-year-old Malala Yousufzai was nearly killed by the Taliban last year because of her efforts to promote education for girls in Pakistan.

Her commitment to education and surviving the assassination attempt, has earned this teenager a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.

The winner won’t be announced until later this year, but if she wins, Malala would be the youngest person to ever receive the honor.

She would also be one of only the 15 female recipients.

Further proving that Malala’s fight for girls’ education is an ongoing effort.
