Galveston, TX – “These are magnificent animals and every time they come out , I come out and see them and it never gets old you know.”

“They’re beautiful animals. It’s amazing to see them every time you see them.”

Those are just some of the things being said about the majestic Budweiser Clydesdales.

These horses have quite the entourage, and it was all on display in Galveston.

That`s because Edward Drozdik won a contest to have the team of horses deliver some beer for his Super Bowl party.

Drozdik says, “I just filled out the information online. Just threw my name in there and they called me Friday and it’s a pretty unique chance to see some different animals.”

The Clydesdales came in several trucks, all to go a couple of blocks to swing by Drozdick`s house party. The entire process of setting up the band of horses takes over an hour and with plenty of onlookers.

Doug Bousselot, the team’s hitch supervisor, says, “Well, that’s one of the most rewarding parts of the whole job is to come out here. You get to work with the horses every day, but we’re not coming out here and making anybody unhappy. They’re all coming to see the horses. They’re happy, so you’re going into an environment where everybody is glad to see you. That makes life pretty easy.”

Clydesdales are twice as big as normal horses, but the fanfare they drum up can`t be measured. All that’s left is to sit back and watch the ride.
