A former Navy SEAL sniper was shot and killed by a former Marine at a gun range in Texas on Saturday.

Police said 39-year-old Chris Kyle and 35-year-old Chad Littlefield were both shot at point-blank range while at a charity event near Glen Rose, Texas.

Kyle became nationally known for his killing skills after he wrote the best-selling book ‘American Sniper’ which details his more than 150 confirmed kills as a sniper.

The suspected gunman, 25-year-old Eddie Ray Routh, was captured after a brief police chase.  Sources said Routh, who is a former Marine, is suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
