MOBILE, AL – The saga of Carnival Triumph is reaching its final chapter.
Sunday’s engine room fire has left nearly 4, 000 passengers and crew members stranded in a crap shoot. Literally. Sewage in hallways, not to mention flooded rooms and long lines for food….
“He said that the conditions have gotten so bad that they’re asking them to use the restroom in bags, and they were eating onion sandwiches,” said Kim McKerreghan, whose daughter and husband on are on board the Triumph.
Meanwhile, three tug boats are slowly dragging the ship to Mobile, Alabama, which is set to arrive Thursday afternoon. For many, the boat can’t come soon enough.
“So I was going to be here a day early and not two minutes later when that boat arrived,” said McKerreghan.
Already booked a Carnival cruise? You may be off the hook. Carnival is cancelling 12 more voyages slated for carnival triumph cruises running from February 21st through April 13th. This is in addition to the two other cruises scheduled for February 11th and the 16th.
Those shafted vacationers get a full refund, and will receive a 25% discount on certain future cruises.
Whether or not people actually cash in the offer and use Carnival again? Something tells us that ship has sailed.
