HOUSTON – Some well known characters showed up in Houston Friday night for the 2013 Sprint All-Star Celebrity Game. Famous faces from film, TV and music teamed up with some NBA and WNBA legends to determine once and for all who would reign supreme… the East team or the West team.
The Houston Rockets’ own James Harden and Russell Westbrook from the Oklahoma City Thunder coached the dream teams with assistant coaches Samantha Harris and Queen Latifah.
The roster this year included reigning 2012 Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game MVP Kevin Hart, alongside Grammy Award winner Ne-Yo, Nick Cannon, actor Josh Hutsherson, musician Trey Songz, Olympic Gold Medalist Usain Bolt, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, E! News anchor Terrance Jenkins, rapper and actor Common, and ABC News correspondent Ryen Russillo.
They teamed up with basketball legends Dikembe Mutombo, Dlyde Drexler, Sean Elliot, Bruce Bowen, Tamika Catchings and Maya Moore.
In the end, the West team shot to victory with a 58-38 win over the East team, earning Kevin Hart his second All-Star Celebrity Game MVP title.
