SKOKIE, IL – We’ve all heard of “kiss and make-up” but when someone in a relationship isn’t ready to patch things up; that’s when love bites.

An Illinois woman is in trouble with the law after cops claim she bit her boyfriend’s tongue off. 51-year-old Elaine Cook and her 47-year-old boyfriend of 10 months had a lover’s spat last week after their Valentine’s Day date. At the end of the night, the beau wanted to make amends with a goodnight smooch, but Cook had a different idea. Chomping at the bit to get back at her boyfriend, the man-eater clamped down on his tongue and chewed most of the right side off.

The shocked victim was left speechless, as Cook spit his bloody tongue out of her mouth and on to the counter. The boyfriend was eventually able to bag up his tongue in ice, but doctors were unable to sow his mouth muscle back together again. Hospital staff say the man still is capable of speech but let’s not kid ourselves, he won’t be reciting any tongue twisters any time soon!

As for Cook, she’s been charged with aggravated domestic battery. Let’s hope the judge gives her the verbal tongue lashing she deserves.
