COLLEGE STATION, TX – One by one, fire trucks from around the Lone Star State lit the path on a dark day in College Station.

Hundreds honored 36-year-old Eric Wallace and 54-year-old Greg Pickard, who died while battling a blaze at an unoccupied Knights of Columbus hall last Friday.

Firefighters from Brother’s Keepers Motorcycle Club showed support at the memorial, as they do for so many of their fallen comrades.

“We make all of them we can, especially for our fallen brothers,’ said Randy Liedtke, club member. ‘Three of us came over this morning. Two from Longview, one from the Tyler chapter, made the drive over this morning to participate in this memorial service today.”

Wallace’s funeral will be held Thursday morning, while Pickard’s is set for Friday morning.

Two other firefighters were injured in the blaze, and are recovering at UTMB in Galveston. As far as the cause of the fire, that could take months to figure out.
