Gas prices continue to rise

HOUSTON, TX – Gas prices are still inching up, while we’re left trying to find ways to keep our cars on the road.

AAA says gas prices have been climbing for the 30th day in a row in Texas. We’ve found motorists are cautious about wasting gas, unfortunately commuters just don’t have a choice.

The reason for this steady rise?

Well this time of the year many refineries shut down parts of their production for maintenance and safety, causing a temporary production reduction. You guessed it; it means you pay more.

The good news, at least if you live in Texas; you’re paying a less than the national average. A gallon in the Lone Star State costs about $3.60 while the U.S. average is $3.75.

Kind of sad that we have to watch our paycheck pours into our gas tanks.
