TAIWAN, CHINA – As if it isn’t hard enough to find a misplaced a cell phone, what if it was practically invisible? Well, that futuristic problem could be here sooner than you think. Polytron Technologies just unveiled a transparent cell phone prototype.

It’s made from conductive glass, and is scratch and shatter resistant. The phone is touch-activated on one side only, but can display images on both the front and the back.

The only thing not transparent is the battery, so Polytron is working on making that necessary evil smaller.

The device is slightly bigger than an iPhone 5, though developers say it will be cheaper than the iPhone 5 when it hits the market possibly by the end of the year.

If you think that’s impressive, wait until you see this. Forget seeing the world in rose-colored glasses. The world looks pretty sweet with Google Glass.

The internet giant just released a video of their latest wonder. Now get this: it’s a voice-navigated computer that pops up into your field of vision.

Want to get your paws on one? Google is looking for “glass explorers” to be among the first to try it out.  It’ll cost a pretty penny, coming in at $1500, not to mention the travel costs to pick up the device in person either in New York, LA, or San Francisco.

But hey, that’s the price to pay to be on the bleeding edge of technology.
