WEST MIDLANDS, ENGLAND – Officials in the United Kingdom are calling on a star witness.

He’s even got a verified Twitter account, but there’s a twist. He’s not human.

Members of the Crown Prosecution Service in West Midlands, England wanted a witness statement from a P.C. Peach.

There was some kind of mix-up, because his name is actually P.D. Peach. “PD” meaning police dog.

So, one of Peach’s handlers gave them a statement as if it were written by the pup.

It reads: “I chase him. I bite him. Bad man. He tasty. Good boy. Good boy Peach.”

It’s even signed with a big black paw print.

Well, those CPS folks didn’t find it very funny. They went and narked to the police chief.

So far, no one is in any trouble, but there is an ongoing investigation.

Come on, CPS. Can’t you take a bloody joke?
