Apple reaches settlement over in-app purchases

CUPERTINO, CA – Apple has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit about ‘minor purchases.’ Now they may end-up paying about $100 million, to give five dollar iTunes cards to over 20 million people.

The suit says certain apps can be downloaded by kids without a parent’s permission or approval and Apple failed totally disclose that there are buying options within some games for kids. It’s all made for more purchases than account holders ever intended.

The settlement is waiting for court approval. If only there was an app for that!
