HOUSTON, TX – So far, so good for the new Pope. The new Catholic leader celebrated mass with cardinals who elected him today, while others just celebrated in general.

“He’s a very humble person… he is the man to change the Catholic Church,” says the owner of Marini’s Empanada House in Houston.

In the meantime, from a distinctly more tainted perspective, some folks are looking at a holy payday from all this pope business. The website paddypower.com gave 33-1 odds the Argentinian cardinal would be selected.  Now they’re saying 5-2 he’ll eventually resign.

Let’s just pray for the best.
