TRUSSVILLE, AL – We still don’t have technology for flying cars…bummer! But some car tech can still be pretty useful.

It used to be that back in the day if your car was stolen, there wasn’t much you could do aside from filing a police report. But James Mason couldn’t outrun technology. Police say he stole a truck with two children inside and dumped them on the side of the road.

James didn’t know, though that the truck was equipped with OnStar. So police called OnStar support staff and had them remotely shut the car off. The GPS device led police to James and he was arrested.
