MARBLE FALLS, TX – A old highway truss bridge on Highway 281 went bye-bye to make way for a bigger and safer bridge.

Just one problem, though. The explosion was so powerful; it knocked out 911 and phone service in three counties. Oops! One lady even said she could feel the blast 26 miles away.

As for the mangled up bridge? TXDot says the steel will eventually be crafted into artwork at local parks. How’s that for being green?
