grinerLOS ANGELES, CA – There’s the NBA and the WNBA. But what about a woman in the NBA?

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is throwing the wacky idea out there. He says he would consider drafting Baylor’s Brittney Griner in the second round.

The Lady Bear has more than impressive stats, and her size alone is advantage over other female players. But that’s not exactly an indicator of how she’d stack up against the fellas.

“In the position that she’s at, like a power forward or inside position, it’d be different if maybe she was a point guard or an outside shooter,” said Matt, a Houstonian.

Griner, a Houston native, seems up for the challenge. She tweeted “I would hold my own! Let’s do it”.

Another offer Cuban laid on the table is an invitation for Griner to try out for a spot on Dallas’ summer league team in Las Vegas.

If nothing else, Cuban said this would help “sell out a few games.”

Maybe this is all just to get people talking. Well, it sure is talking.

Pass Griner the ball and let’s see if she can hang with the boys.
