bargeMOBILE, AL – A pair of fuel barges at a dock in Alabama exploded Wednesday night.

The barges were loaded with gasoline. Officials say there were at least six explosions heard up to 20 miles away. At least three people were taken to the hospital, and the shipping channel where the barges were docked was closed.

Firefighters had to let the fire burn out because it was too dangerous for them to battle it. The good news, officials say it seems everyone’s been accounted for.
