presDALLAS, TX – Politics took a back seat to pomp, and the circumstance was the dedication in Dallas

Of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum on the campus of Southern Methodist University.

Exhibits showcase some of the highlights and items from 43’s two terms, including the moment that would define his presidency: September 11.

A new poll shows 44 and 43 tied at 49 when it comes to the percentage of Americans who approve of their performance. But that didn’t stand in the way of President Obama’s comments about his predecessor.

‘America needs leaders who are willing to face the storm head on even as they pray to God for strength, wisdom so they can do what they think is right.’

And then it was time for 43 to put the finishing touches on the day.

‘I dedicate this library with unshakable faith in the future of our country. It was the honor of a lifetime to lead a country as brave and as noble as the United States. Whatever challenges come our way, I will always believe our best days lie ahead.  God bless.’

After the ceremonies, the commanders-in-chief got a presidential tour of the library.

And apparently, the horned-dog in chief, Bill Clinton, tried out his new Twitter account at the ceremonies to let his followers know ‘what’s’ going down.
