pallRICHMOND, TX – It’s opening night for some big movies this week. (Star Trek anyone?) But one opening may upstage them all: the Palladium in Richmond.

“It’s designed as an entertainment destination. Something to be unlike anything in the country,” said Chris Prichard with Santikos Theatres.

It’s a Greek-themed entertainment center (just in time for the end of the school year…) The theater has a Dolby Atmos sound system, and D-Box motion controlled seats to go along with their 22 screens, some of which are about 8-stories high.

“85 feet would be the largest screen in Houston. And we have six of them.”

And that’s not all…

“We’re not just a theatre. We have 16 lanes of bowling. We have food and drink amenities. We have full cocktail bars…several of them.”

Not done yet. It also has an arcade, theater dining along with VIP sections and reserved seating. Now that’s a reason to leave the couch.
