LAWNMOWERKANSAS CITY, MO – The Missouri Department of Transportation has started using a remote controlled robot to mow the grass on the side of highways.

The mower program launched last month and allow crews to safely mow steep embankments along highways up to 500 feet away.

Mo-DOT is one of the first state transportation departments in the country to test out the device.

The spiffy mower has four blades and Mo-DOT says it’s safer than the slope mowers it currently uses.
