Russia Lifts Alcohol ban for World Cup

As Americans, you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who thinks there’s anything better than throwing back a cold one while watching the game.

Because Russia’s known for the production some of the finest ‘naughty water’, you’d think the recent lift of the country’s ban on alcohol at sporting events would have people dancing in the streets. Beer manufacturers are thrilled about the recent policy change, but players and several spectators have a different take on the new policy.

There’s been mixed reaction from the public about President Vladimir Putin’s change of heart regarding Russians drinking and sporting. It’s all temporary, for the sake of playing host to the 2018 World Cup. So, they should really let their cups runneth over, while they can!
