robberMARSHFIELD, WI – Store clerks are often encouraged to give robbers what they want so nobody gets hurt.

That wasn’t the case with 96-year-old Marge Wolf.

“I said you can have all the Tootsie rolls you want, but I’m not opening that cash register,” she told a would-be robber when he tried to stick up Wolf’s Grocery in Marshfield, Wisc.

Wolf wasn’t having it, not even when she says the guy put a pocket knife on the counter.

“And I said, ‘I’ll press a button, and I’ll have somebody here in seconds.'”

But Wolf didn’t have to. She says the man got frustrated, looked around, and noticed a security camera in the corner.

Then, she says, he grabbed his knife and ran out of the store.

Wolf didn’t seem too phased by what happened.

“What do I say to him? I’d say I think you got some punishments coming. It’ll be a little bit more than scrubbing the floor.”

Wolf sounds like one old lady you don’t want to mess with.
