kidnapSAN DIEGO, CA – They feared the worst for nearly a week, but on Sunday they got a miracle.

16-year-old kidnap victim Hannah Anderson from San Diego was rescued in the Idaho wilderness by the FBI. Her captor, James Dimaggio, was shot and killed when law enforcement swooped in.

Dimaggio is suspected of having killed Hannah’s mother and brother before abducting her. He’s supposedly her father’s best friend.  But he apparently came from a troubled home. Dimaggio’s father apparently also abducted a 16-year-old girl, back in 1989. She ultimately got away too.

The elder Dimaggio went to prison, and then killed himself in 1998 — 15 years to the day before the FBI took-out Dimaggio junior in the Idaho woods.
