CLERMONT, FL – It’s normal to get a ‘sinking feeling’ as your vacation comes to an end. But when that’s induced by your hotel caving in, that’s not good.

The Summer Bay Resort in Clermont, Florida collapsed and slowly sank into the earth as a sinkhole opened up beneath it on Sunday.  The hotel is miles away from Walk Disney World.  Guests had to be rushed out of their rooms.

Many visitors had to leave belongings behind, but hotel management says no one was hurt.
