LATROBE, PA – The most beautiful moments aren’t always the ones that are carefully planned, or cost a fortune. They’re simpler, and more authentic. Like Adam and Ashley Kern’s wedding.

The couple’s big day was held in a Pennsylvania hospital.  It was planned on just one week’s notice, so that Adam’s mom, who has cancer in her brain, could be there.

“It would have been beautiful wherever we had it. But to have her here, and for the hospital to be so nice, it worked great,” said Adam.

Before saying ‘I do,’ the groom choked back tears describing the sacrifice made by Ashley to have her wedding in a hospital chapel.  But she didn’t seem to mind.

“He has a lot of his mom in him. And he brightens my day whenever I see him so, it’s one of them things, I know we’ll do great,” she said.

Nurses and staff greeted the newlyweds with bubbles — a beautiful simple of how love was in the air.
