RICE, TX – There’s more questions than answers right now in Rice, just east of Dallas, after a family of five were found dead inside their home Sunday night.

Authorities found the bodies of 33-year-old Israel Alvarez, his 33-year-old wife Guadalupe Ronquillo-Ovalle and their three sons, ages 4, 8 and 10.

The Navarro County Sheriff’s Office posted a message to their Facebook page saying they got a call around 7 p.m. from a Spanish-speaking man who said he found members of his family dead inside their house.

All five had gunshot wounds to their upper torsos.

Authorities are looking into the case as a murder-suicide. One thing that doesn’t need to be investigated is that it’s just a tragic situation all around.
