TRENTON, NJ – At midnight Monday, dozens of couples across the state tied the knot. Hours later, Governor Chris Christie dropped his legal challenge of the court’s decision to permit same sex marriage.

Among the first couples to exchange vows were Louis Walpin and Marsha Shapiro. They are the plaintiffs that led a judge to declare the state’s ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutional.
