HOUSTON, TX – According the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Houston is number one in burglaries.

The rise of inner-city neighborhood violence prompted a call-to-action of sorts in southeast Houston.

Stop the Violence Day was held to inform parents and kids how they can help prevent crime.

Hundreds of Houston pastors were urged to spread the Stop the Violence message around town and events were held in the community to spread awareness.

With a little unity, maybe this call-to-action will be a come-to-senses for some Houston neighborhoods.
