CAMP PENDELTON, CA – What started out as a normal day at camp, turned into a bad nightmare for four Marines. The military says they died doing routine maintenance on one of the bombing ranges at Camp Pendleton in California.

“I don’t have any specifics on what maintenance they were doing. I know that we regularly schedule maintenance and upkeep to make sure that our ranges are safe to use,” said Lt. Ryan Finnegan, Camp Pendleton Public Affairs Spokesman.

Obviously what happened here wasn’t safe, and an investigation into what happened is in full swing, with the hopes someone can come up with a solution soon to make sure a tragic accident like this doesn’t happen again.
