Employers use Twitter to determine if applicant is lazy

ARMONK, NY – And we like to complain about the NSA! Check this out: now employers are using Twitter to determine if a job candidate is lazy!

Believe it or not, IBM has new software that analyses your tweets and figures out what kind of employee you’re destined to be. Apparently, it takes 140 characters to classify you as one of the five main personality traits: extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness. For one thing we know what kind of people “they” are!

And what if you’re not on Twitter?  Does it make any difference? Well, candidates still have to take psychometric tests and they say results are pretty much the same. So, there’s no room for lying. And we thought social media was the land of the fake and the home of the egomaniac! It looks like big brother is becoming a role model for the younger siblings.
