WASHINGTON, D.C. – Aaliyah said it best: “Dust yourself off and try again.” And, it looks like the Obama administration is taking that advice. It’s decided to push back dates you can sign up for Obamacare.

Before all you procrastinators get excited, the new ultimatum is for next year’s enrollment period for coverage that begins in 2015. That means, instead of signing up between October 15 and December 7, people would have from November 15 to January 15 of 2015 to sign up. That’s a month later and a week longer!

No doubt the postponement until after the 2014 midterm elections means this isn`t all just about citizens — it`s about politics. But, the Obama administration is hoping the new sign-up period will help insurers, engineers and anyone who wants to sign up, get it together. Because, let’s face it, we really don’t need a 2013, part two.
