DALLAS , TX – Friday marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. In Dallas, a new monument was unveiled in the infamous section of land known as the “Grassy Knoll.”

It contains an inscription of the final paragraph of the speech JFK intended to deliver on that fateful day in 1963.

About 5,000 (thoroughly vetted) guests attended the remembrance at Dealy Plaza.

It included a moment of silence at 12:30pm–the time Kennedy was shot.
