WASHINGTON, D.C. – A New York congresswoman says she is shaken up but okay, after getting mugged on Tuesday night.
Representative Grace Meng was not seriously hurt in the incident. She was reportedly walking home from dinner when she was approached by a man who struck in the back of the head. When Meng fell, he snatched her purse and took off.
Meng says she bruised her chin and admits to feeling shaken up. She returned to work on Wednesday.
