WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Folks in West Palm Beach kicked off the holiday season Florida style by holding a tree lighting ceremony by the water.

Sounds normal enough but there’s a twist. Organizers built the 35-foot tall, 600-ton tree completely out of sand! They piled on the layers of sand for about five days straight.

The tree will be lit every night through New Year’s Eve. So, happy sandy days, everyone!
